As accurate a quote as I can remember, from Daniel Kish talking at the TEDx conference March 201. Blind from the age of 14 Daniel uses echolocation (sending sound waves from his tongue that bounce of objects) to move around.

Inspired by the psychoanalytic setting and the
concept of mimetic desire,
Another Other is a meditation on the nature of
human companionship and the physical subconscious.

A choreographic collaboration between Peter Dobey, Hannah Buckley and Jessamin Landamore the piece was performed at Krowswork gallery (krowswork.com), Oakland California, in October 2011. The work was improvised, following a 30 min structure which was looped continuously for 4 hours.

The audience were invited to stay for as long as they desired.

‘My bike is the means to which my physical being feels the city’.
Dance is the means to which my physical body experiences.

With the arrival of Ride in your pjs. It will be epic. I felt delight, understanding that my sister experiences the same freedom and unspoken wisdom given through the physicality as I do, only via a slightly different means. Reading her text I was struck by the physical and sense based choice of words, and how quickly my mind turned to the similarities of what I experience through dance and what she gets from biking - the sense of freedom, a connection to something greater than oneself and quieting of the mind to name a few.
